DSM’S XANTAR® C RESIN HELPS NEDTRAIN KEEP ROLLING STOCK ON TRACK WITH AFFORDABLE, ECO-RESPONSIBLE CLADDING
DSM Engineering Plastics recently announced that its XANTAR® C CE 407 resin allows NedTrain, a provider of train car maintenance and overhaul services, to supply state-of-the-art cladding systems for walls and ceilings in passenger coaches. The DSM resin not only provides aesthetic yet durable, and low-maintenance cladding systems, but also complies with strict flame, smoke and toxicity regulations. Further, XANTAR® C CE 407 resin is environmental friendly as it contains the newest flame retardant technology. Finally, this resin helped NedTrain achieve its goal of cost savings in both the production and maintenance of claddings.

Belden has announced that D. Larrie Rose, Vice President, Operations and President, Belden Europe, will retire at the end of February 2008, after a 35-year career with the Company. The Company has appointed Henk Derksen as interim managing director. Mr. Derksen is Vice President, Finance, for Belden Europe.

TIELT, BELGIQUE – Février 2008 – La société Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) de Tielt en Belgique, en étroite collaboration avec l’équipementier automobile de première monte TRW-Dalphimetal de Madrid, a développé les trois compartiments d’airbag de la nouvelle Citroën C5. Destinés à loger les airbags conducteur, passager et genoux, ces trois compartiments sont réalisés en Akulon®, un polyamide 6 de DSM modifié choc et renforcé à 40% fibre de verre.
