QUADRANT EPP APPOINTS ANGST+PFISTER AS FIRST EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTOR
Lenzburg, Switzerland – November, 2007 – Quadrant EPP, the world's leading manufacturer of engineering plastics in stock shapes (rod, plate, tube) for machining, has announced the appointment of Swiss-based Angst+Pfister as its first European distributor. Angst+Pfister will distribute the complete Quadrant EPP product portfolio Europe-wide and particularly in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

Hanwha fait l’acquisition de AZDEL, Inc. de SABIC Innovative Plastics, PPG Industries
FOREST, Virginie – 20 novembre 2007 – Hanwha Living & Creative (L&C) Corporation a annoncé aujourd’hui la finalisation de l’acquisition de AZDEL Inc., une co-entreprise 50/50 de SABIC Innovative Plastics (anciennement GE Plastics) et PPG Industries. L’acquisition de AZDEL permettra à Hanwha d’étendre son offre en matière de solutions de matériaux composites et avancés pour les marchés du transport et de l’industrie. Les termes du contrat n’ont pas été dévoilés.

Le Nepol, moteur d'innovation pour les camions
Borealis, l'un des principaux fournisseurs de plastiques innovants créateurs de valeur, a joué un rôle de pionnier dans le développement des tous premiers pare-chocs et calandres de camion moulés par injection. Les éléments structurels du dernier camion Stralis d'IVECO ont été réalisés en Nepol™ GB303HP, une solution de Borealis en polypropylène (PP) renforcé par une fibre de verre longue. Le Nepol remplace la fibre de verre polyester insaturée utilisée dans d'autres techniques (SMC), ce qui permet de simplifier la production tout en répondant aux hautes exigences d'IVECO en termes de mécanique et de respect de l'environnement.
