Chemtura Corporation named John D. Dennerlein to the position of Vice President, Urethanes Business Unit, Performance Specialties. Since joining Chemtura in 1996, Dennerlein has held various positions in sales, marketing and business management in the company’s Petroleum Additives and Urethanes Business Units.

Chemtura Corporation named Gerard Mulqueen Vice President Global Business Development for Lubricants and Greases. Since joining Chemtura in 2005, Mulqueen has held various positions in the company’s Petroleum Additives Unit, including Senior Business Director, Lubricants from October 2006 to April 2007and Business Director, Lubricants from September 2005 to September 2006.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAYS-BAS — Le 11 juin 2007 — GE Plastics a aujourd’hui lancé sur le marché une nouvelle gamme de compoundshaute technologie LNP* Starflam* qui offre une excellente résistance à la flamme tout en répondant aux exigences techniques de pièces sans halogène. La famille de polyamides renforcés de fibres de verre, LNP X-Gen Starflam Z270, est conforme aux directives européennes en vigueur concernant la limitation des substances dangereuses (Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)), les objectifs de recyclage des déchets des équipements électriques et électroniques (WEEE), et autres exigences liées au respect de l’environnement. Ces nouveaux produits possèdent des propriétés électriques et mécaniques bien supérieures à celles des matériaux traditionnels qui font appel à des additifs bromés ou de phosphore rouge. Par ailleurs, LNP X-Gen Starflam se met en œuvre très aisément et les pièces ainsi moulées présentent d’excellentes aspects de surface et peuvent être labelliser par marquage laser .
