DNV and NHSLA: A partnership for improving patient safety and managing risk
Rotterdam, 12 March 2007 – DNV has entered into a five year contract with the NHSLA (National Health Service Litigation Authority) to provide services for managing risk with effect from 1 April 2007.
In an effort to further develop its risk management programme, NHSLA has awarded DNV a contract to deliver risk assessment, standard development, training and helpdesk services to over 400 National Health Service (NHS) Trusts and more than 150 NHS maternity services in England.

UNIQUE DYNEEMA® SOLUTION PROTECTS NAVY BOATS
URMOND (NL), 12 March 2007 - To realize the requisite flame retardancy for ballistic protective panels on Korean marine vessels, a solution was developed based on the addition of an aluminum and glass-epoxy resin layer to panels made with Dyneema® HB25. A patent application for this solution has been filed by DSM. This unique combination of flame retardant properties, excellent ballistic protection and durability in demanding environments, at the lowest weight possible is now available for marine and also for vehicle applications worldwide.

Coors Brewers Selects Nobilas Claims & Fleet Solutions as its Accident Management provider
Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, 8 March 2007 – Nobilas Claims and Fleet solutions, the Akzo Nobel company specialising in accident management, has been appointed by Coors Brewers Ltd, as the firm’s sole supplier of accident management services for their UK fleet.
Under the branded VELO Accident Management program, Nobilas and partner Leasedrive VELO, the largest independent vehicle management group in the UK, are managing Coors Brewers’ entire fleet of company cars.
Coors Brewers, whose brands include Carling, Grolsch, Worthington’s and Coors Fine Light, switched from its previous accident management provider to obtain the simplicity, efficiency and cost controls offered by the Nobilas and Leasedrive VELO program.

Les composites et les thermoplastiques à haute performance de GE Plastics font leur show sur le QarmaQ, le véhicule de développement de technologies d’avant-garde de Hyundai, avec près de 30 applications variées. Ce CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) est un projet commun de GE Plastics et de Hyundai qui vise à démontrer la liberté de conception et l’aspect pratique liés à l’utilisation de plastiques dans les composants habituellement fabriqués à partir de métal, de verre et de plastiques thermodurcissables. Il présente les technologies avancées de GE dans cinq domaines clés : Elastic Front*, l’extérieur, l’intérieur, les systèmes d’éclairage et le compartiment moteur.
