CHEMTURA INCREASES METAL ALKYL PRICES
Due to continued operational and capital cost demands, Chemtura Corporation will increase the prices of the neat portion of its aluminum alkyl products by 25%. Pricing for the neat portion of its Magnesium and Zinc alkyl products will be increased by 100%. These price increases will be effective April 1, 2007, or as contracts allow. For solvent blends, higher solvent purchase costs will be reflected in the blend pricing.

Sumitomo Bakelite investit dans les composites spéciaux
Gand, Belgique, 5 mars 2007 – Le Groupe Sumitomo Bakelite annonce l'acquisition de Neopreg AG, producteur suisse des matériaux composites thermodurcissables à fibres longues commercialisés sous les marques Kinel et Neonite. Installée à Gelterkinden, la société Neopreg possède une technologie exclusive pour la fabrication de ces composites, laquelle complète celles dont dispose déjà Sumitomo dans le domaine. Neopreg, qui conserve son nom, sera intégrée à Vyncolit N.V., la filiale de Sumitomo qui fabrique des composites en Europe. Henny van Dijk, président de Vyncolit N.V., en assure la direction générale depuis le 19 février 2007.

PPG Further Develops in China and Plans to Build a Resin Plant
