CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON BROMINATED FLAME RETARDANTS
MIDDLEBURY, Conn., Sept. 8, 2005 — Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) today announced worldwide price increases ranging from $0.65/kg to $1.40/kg for the following brominated flame retardant grades effective October 1, 2005, where contracts allow.

NEW BACKING SOLUTIONS TECHNOLOGY BASED ON DYNEEMA® EASES THE BURDEN FOR THOSE IN HARM'S WAY
Heerlen, The Netherlands, 13 September 2005 – A new backing technology for personal protection, utilizing Dyneema®, the world's strongest fiber, offers those in the line of fire new options, light in weight but heavy in protective ability. The new technology provides a starting point for designing hybrid inserts consisting of a backing with Dyneema® skinned with a ceramic strike face. The backing is to defeat rifle threats by stopping bullets fragmented by the ceramic plate, and retain the plate integrity upon impact. These inserts offer excellent multi-hit protection. Backing with Dyneema® can be shaped to fit without unnecessary bulk, providing unencumbered mobility, and provides tailored penetration resistance for a range of tactical needs.

Rhodia Polyamide annonce des hausses de prix de 6 à 9% pour répondre à la forte augmentation des dépenses énergétiques
Lyon, France, septembre 13, 2005 – Rhodia Polyamide annonce une hausse de prix au niveau mondial de 6 à 9% sur les résines polyamides STABAMID® et les plastiques techniques TECHNYL® pour faire face à l’augmentation constante du prix des matières premières et des coûts de l’énergie et des transports. Cette hausse prendra effet au 1er octobre 2005. Les tarifs d'autres produits de Rhodia Polyamide, comme les fibres notamment, feront eux aussi l'objet d'une augmentation similaire qui sera communiquée séparément.
