QUADRANT ENGINEERING PLASTIC PRODUCTS LANCE UNE NOUVELLE GENERATION DE MATERIAUX DESTINES A LA FABRICATION DES SEMI-CONDUCTEURS ET AUX APPLICATIONS D'ESSAI.
K 2004 – Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products (QEPP) a mis au point quatre nouveaux produits conçus pour améliorer la durée de vie et la fiabilité des applications de polissage mécano-chimique (CMP) ainsi que des composants d'essai et de manutention. La société a également annoncé le développement d'un produit ultra-haute pureté dont la commercialisation est prévue mi-2005 mais qui est toutefois déjà disponible pour une période limitée dans le cadre de projets de co-développement. Ces produits sont disponibles sous forme de demi-produits auprès de QEPP, leader mondial de la fabrication de plastiques techniques destinés à être usinés.

LES OUTILS FACOM UTILISENT LES TPE ARNITEL® DE DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS POUR LEUR ERGONOMIE
Pour les manches ergonomiques et antidérapants de certains outils à main, le groupe Facom Tools utilise les élastomères thermoplastiques copolymère ester éther séquencés (TPE-E) Arnitel® de DSM Engineering Plastics, l’une des branches matériaux de performance du groupe DSM N.V. (Euronext Amsterdam:DSM). Facom, important fournisseur d’outillages à main et d’équipements de garage en Europe, est une filiale de FIMALAC.

Un fabricant de machines à crèmes glacées souhaitait rassurer les restaurants sur le fait que tout était mis en œuvre pour empêcher les microbes d’y proliférer. Et une entreprise textile cherchait à créer un nouveau type de fil susceptible de réduire les problèmes d’odeur dans les chaussettes.

Avebe signs agreement with Fiske Food Ingredients for starch products distribution in Denmark
Fiske Food Denmark, a Univar company and leading specialist distributor of food and beverage ingredients, is now distributing starches for the food industry produced by the Dutch farming co-operative Avebe. The move follows the recent signing of a distribution agreement for Denmark between the two companies.

HONEYWELL TO BUILD REFRIGERANT MANUFACTURING PLANT IN CHINA
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today plans to build a manufacturing plant for non-ozone depleting refrigerant products in Qingpu, Shanghai, China. The new facility, expected to be operational in November 2004, was announced during a groundbreaking ceremony in Qingpu attended by Honeywell officials, key customers and Chinese dignitaries.

GREAT LAKES INCREASES CLEAR BRINE FLUIDS PRICES
