GREAT LAKES CHEMICAL ELIMINATES PRICE PROTECTION FOR FLAME RETARDANTS AND BROMINATED PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced that it has eliminated all price protection mechanisms such as firm pricing, price caps, and price increase delays for its flame retardants and bromine performance products until further notice.

Trois nouveaux grades de résine LEXAN® sont introduits aujourd’hui, à savoir un grade stabilisé au rayonnement gamma qui associe une meilleure résistance aux lipides à la possibilité de stérilisation répétée en autoclave ; un grade stabilisé au rayonnement gamma à indice de fluidité à chaud (MFI) de valeur moyenne ; et un PC transparent haute température pour le passage répété en autoclave. Ces trois nouveaux produits sont disponibles mondialement.

Univar named as distributor for Shell solvents in Denmark, Norway and Sweden
Univar Europe, a business unit of Univar N.V., the leading independent chemical distributor in the world, has been appointed by Shell Chemicals Europe B.V. (SCE) as distributor of their solvents range in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The agreement took effect April 1st of this year. Univar’s strong distribution and logistics network in Scandinavia underpinned Shell’s decision, as did the opportunity to make its supply chain simpler and more efficient.

Molding compounds from Perstorp shown to kill SARS virus and other bacteria, making more devices “Safe to Touch™”
