Distrupol signed as sole distributor for Elastollan® in Ireland
Distrupol, a member company of Univar and a leading European polymer distributor, technical service and solutions provider, has been appointed sole distributor for Elastollan® thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern-Ireland. Elastollan® is produced by Elastogran GmbH, a subsidiary of BASF AG and a world leader in polyurethane technology.

Satisfactory third quarter result for Borealis
The Borealis Group reported today its third quarter results, showing a stronger financial performance compared to the same period of 2001. Operating profit for the third quarter increased to EUR 54 million from EUR 14 million a year ago, attributable to higher margins and early benefits from internal restructuring. Operating profit was down by 14% compared to the second quarter reflecting the fact that the anticipated economic recovery for the second half of 2002 has not materialised.
