Distrupol wins distributorship for DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers
Distrupol, a member company of Univar and the leading UK polymer distributor, technical service and solutions provider, has been appointed distributor for DuPont packaging and industrial polymers. The agreement covers distribution throughout the UK and Ireland for Elvax® Ethylene Vinyl acetate resins, Surlyn® ionomer resins, Fusabond® polymer modifiers and Elvaloy® AC acrylate copolymer resins.

Owens Corning Signs Contract With Ashland Finland OY For Enhanced Presence In European Market
Toledo, Ohio, September 2002 – In order to better serve the European market, Owens Corning announced that it has signed a distribution contract with Ashland Finland OY, a subsidiary of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), to distribute product through Ashland Specialty Chemical Company’s Composite Polymers business unit. Ashland’s Composite Polymers business unit is one of the world's largest producers of resins for reinforced plastics and is considered a leader in composite resin technology.

Greene, Tweed & Co, un des leaders de la fabrication de joints spéciaux et de pièces techniques de haute précision en matière plastique, a prescrit le polymère haute température Victrex® PEEK-HT™ comme base de son thermoplastique ARLON® 2000 utilisé pour mouler ses connecteurs à 8 broches SealConnect®. Spécialement mis au point pour les applications soumises à des températures élevées dans le secteur de la prospection et de l'extraction pétrolières, ces connecteurs sont prévus pour résister à l'exposition prolongée à une température de 204°C et une pression de 138 MPa, ainsi qu'à 260°C sous 172 MPa en exposition de courte durée.
