Perstorp - 20 de febrero de 2018 - A finales de 2017, la Unión Europea denegó la autorización del formaldehído como conservante y potenciador de las condiciones higiénicas. En anticipación a esta decisión, el fabricante sueco de ácidos orgánicos y aditivos de piensos Perstorp lleva años estudiando el modo de acción y efectividad de los ácidos orgánicos contra la salmonella. Los nuevos datos revelan que el ácido propiónico disminuye la motilidad de la salmonella y que los aceites esenciales especialmente seleccionados tienen un efecto sinérgico junto con los ácidos orgánicos.

ARLANXEO develops new rubber compound for self-sealing tires
ARLANXEO, a leading global manufacturer of synthetic elastomers, has developed a rubber compound that can be used in the future to seal tires. This solution for so-called self-sealing tires replaces the spare wheel and also presents an alternative to a repair kit or run-flat tire. An appropriate rubber compound from ARLANXEO, which is applied on the interior of the vehicle tire, enables holes occurring in the tire to be automatically sealed, so the driver can continue driving.

Clariant significantly increases growth and further improves profitability in 2017
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced full year 2017 sales of CHF 6.377 billion compared to CHF 5.847 billion in 2016. This corresponds to 9 % growth in local currency driven by double-digit gains in Catalysis and Natural Resources.
