Clariant successfully places EUR 300 million of certificates of indebtedness

Muttenz, April 7, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced today the issuance of totally EUR 300 million in the German market for certificates of indebtedness (“Schuldschein”). The four certificates have a term of 5 years (EUR 150 million) respectively 8 years (EUR 150 million) each with fix or float coupons.

Clariant concluye la venta de sus operaciones de Water Treatment en América Latina para Ecolab

São Paulo, 1 de abril de 2015 – Clariant, una de las líderes mundiales de especialidades químicas, ha concluido la venta de sus negocios de tratamiento de agua industrial, localizados en Brasil, Argentina y Colombia, para Ecolab Inc. En Colombia, el cierre de la operación aguarda la aprobación de las autoridades de control de mercados locales. La negociación no incluye el sector de Óleo & Gas / Refinerías, que continúa siendo atendido por la unidad de negocios Oil & Mining Services de Clariant, con su paquete de soluciones suministrado por el área de Refinery Services. La transacción, iniciada al final de 2014, es resultado del proceso de gestión de portafolio de Clariant, basado en su estrategia de crecimiento lucrativo. Para la división de Water & Process Services (WPS) de Ecolab, la adquisición expande y fortalece su presencia en el mercado de tratamiento de aguas industriales en Latinoamérica.
