Songwon Baifu Chemicals JV now fully operational in thioester antioxidants
Ulsan, Korea - November 20, 2012 - Songwon Industrial Co., Ltd. (www.songwon.com) and Tangshan Baifu Chemical Co. Ltd. have formalized their joint venture relationship. The new company is called Songwon Baifu Chemicals (Tangshan) Co., Ltd. and has commenced its operations on July 1, 2012. With a production capacity of 8.000 metric tons of thioester antioxidants, and the required key intermediate capacity Songwon Baifu Chemicals (Tangshan) Co., Ltd. is now fully integrated into Songwon’s global operational processes.

DSM inaugurates new production unit for Stanyl ForTii
Royal DSM N.V., the global life sciences and materials sciences company, has opened its third production unit for Stanyl® ForTii™ high performance polyamide. The plant is co-located with DSM's two existing plants in Geleen, The Netherlands. The capacity increase is needed to meet the strongly growing market demand for the new polymer, used in electronics, automotive and other markets.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation elige la Resina NORYL GTX™ SABIC para el 2013 Outlander Sport y sus guardabarros moldeados por inyección con 2 cavidades líderes en el sector
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos, 15 de noviembre de 2012 - Innovative Plastics de SABIC ha anunciado hoy que Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) ha elegido la última generación de resina NORYL GTX™ 989 para los guardabarros de su crossover 2013 Outlander Sport. Los guardabarros del vehículo son los primeros que se fabrican mediante un moldeado por inyección con 2 cavidades utilizando resina NORYL GTX, lo cual permite a MMC minimizar los tiempos de trabajo hasta la mitad y reducir los costes de maquinaria. Otros beneficios del material SABIC incluyen una reducción en el peso en comparación con el acero, lo cual comporta reducir el gasto de combustible y otros beneficios de sostenibilidad, así como aportar flexibilidad en el diseño de los primeros guardabarros norteamericanos con soportes de absorción del impacto integrados para choques de peatones. La adopción por parte de MMC de la resina NORYL GTX 989 para una gran producción de guardabarros demuestra el gran valor que aporta NORYL™ y la tecnología de resina NORYL GTX a la industria de la automoción, así como su gran relevancia a la hora de satisfacer las necesidades de sostenibilidad y diseño requeridas por el cliente.
