SABIC se une a la joint venture de innovación en el sector del automóvil INPRO
BERLIN, Alemania – 7 de septiembre de 2011 – Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) ha anunciado hoy en Berlín que ha llegado a un acuerdo para adquirir acciones de INPRO, una empresa conjunta (joint venture) especializada en innovación colaborativa para la producción de automóviles. SABIC se unirá a Daimler, Siemens, ThyssenKrupp y Volkswagen como accionistas del grupo. El Estado Federal de Berlín ha conservado acciones en INPRO desde su creación en 1983. SABIC llega a esta empresa conjunta con 45 años de experiencia como pionera de la industria en tecnologías de materiales plásticos de ingeniería para el automóvil y desarrollo de aplicaciones, principalmente a través de la división de automoción de su unidad estratégica de negocio Innovative Plastics, y participará en todos los proyectos de innovación conjunta de INPRO. La participación de SABIC en la empresa conjunta INPRO es un reflejo de su larga trayectoria de compromiso proactivo con la industria para avanzar e innovar consiguiendo materiales ligeros en todo el mundo y para ayudar a los clientes OEM a resolver algunos de sus desafíos más complejos.

Am Belden-Standort Neckartenzlingen starten zwölf Jugendliche ins Berufsleben bei Hirschmann
Anfang September 2011 haben gleich zwölf Jugendliche am Belden-Standort Neckartenzlingen, wo die Produkte der Marke Hirschmann™ entwickelt und produziert werden, eine Berufsausbildung begonnen. Neun von ihnen werden in den Lehrberufen Elektroniker für Geräte und Systeme, Mechatroniker, Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration und Verfahrensmechaniker ausgebildet. Drei junge Leute absolvieren an der Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart die Studiengänge Angewandte Informatik und Betriebswirtschaftslehre.

Clariant enables Oslo Airport to recycle two-thirds of aircraft de-icer
Muttenz, 13 September 2011 – A new Clariant recycling plant for aircraft de-icer is being inaugurated today at Norway’s Oslo International Airport. In the coming 2011-12 winter, it is expected that the unit will reprocess 60-70% of the aircraft de-icer fluid (ADF) used in Oslo. The recycled product – mono propylene glycol (MPG) – will substitute an estimated 700 metric tonnes per year of virgin material in de-icing and heat transfer applications.

Songwon completes one of the world’s largest dedicated polymer antioxidant plants and introduces two enhanced physical forms of Songnox 1076
Ulsan, Korea – September 13, 2011 – Songwon Industrial Group announces that the expansion of its antioxidant capacity from 55.000 to 70.000 tons has been completed ahead of time. This is the result of the consolidation of Songnox® 1076 production into Songwon’s new fully backward integrated Maeam plant. In addition Songwon has announced as a consequence of this expansion the introduction of two enhanced physical forms of Songnox® 1076: Songnox® 1076 SB (semi beads) and Songnox® 1076 CP (crystalline powder).
