SABIC Innovative Plastics>BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 4 de junio de2010 – Ritter GmbH, un fabricante alemán de productos médicos y de laboratorio, ha logrado desmarcarse de sus competidores gracias a su galardonado1 envase para transporte y esterilización Polysteribox®, que utiliza un nuevo grado de resina Ultem* de Polieterimida (PEI) de SABIC Innovative Plastics. La preocupación por la seguridad de los pacientes ha hecho que los requisitos de limpieza química y esterilización en autoclave para los dispositivos médicos reutilizables sean cada vez más estrictos, por lo que los fabricantes se han visto obligados a encontrar nuevos materiales que puedan soportar una mayor alcalinidad y unas temperaturas más elevadas. En vista de las necesidades de Ritter, que debía cumplir estos nuevos y rigurosos estándares, SABIC Innovative Plastics decidió desarrollar un grado especial de su resina Ultem, uno de sus productos insignia, al igual que ha hecho con otros clientes.
