Las nuevas resinas de copolímero Lexan* HFD de SABIC Innovative Plastics de alta fluidez, elevada ductilidad e increíble rendimiento y aportan una mayor libertad de diseño
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 28 de octubre de 2009 – SABIC Innovative Plastics ha presentado hoy una nueva tecnología de copolímeros: las resinas especiales de copolímero Lexan* HFD, un material innovador que ofrece a los clientes una elevada fluidez en el procesado sin las tradicionales disminuciones de robustez y una mejorada ductilidad sin afectar la fluidez del material fundido. Estos materiales se basan en la incomparable transparencia, la extrema robustez y el elevado rendimiento por los que es conocida la resina de policarbonato (PC) Lexan. El nuevo material abre la puerta a una gran variedad de nuevas opciones de diseño, especialmente en áreas de aplicación claves en las que se requieren piezas de paredes finas, geometrías complejas y productos con elevada resistencia a impactos que puedan soportar temperaturas muy bajas sin comprometer la transparencia.

DSM wins Innovation in Environment Award for lightweight air-cargo container panels
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, today announces that it is awarded the international AVK award in Innovations and Environment for a new, light weight version of air-cargo containers. The containers help airlines to cut carbon emissions by 28,000 ton a year, the equivalent of taking more than 8500 cars off the road.

Bio Base Europe Training Centre on Track for 2011 Opening
Gent, 27 October 2009 – Bio Base Europe, the Biopark Terneuzen and Ghent Bio-Energy Valley joint initiative launched in April 2009, has said its new bio-focused Training Centre is on course to open in early 2011. The Bio Base Europe initiative will be the first of its kind to include both a Pilot Plant and a Training Centre dedicated to bio-based industry and aims to support and accelerate the development of a sustainable bio-based economy in Europe. It is the largest Interreg project ever granted to the Dutch-Flemish border region and is set to transform the region into the main bio-economy gateway in Europe.

Milliken Expands Colorants Portfolio for Global Thermoset Plastics Industry

DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE ARNITE PET XL GRADE FOR NEW XENON AFX MODULE IN DAIMLER S-CLASS
