Owens Corning Expands Technical Fabrics Capacity in Asia to Support Customers in Region’s Wind Energy Market

ARNITEL® TPC ADVANTAGE FOR FORD FIESTA VACUUM BRAKE TUBING
Ford has selected Arnitel TPC from DSM Engineering Plastics for the production of vacuum brake tubes for its recently launched new Ford Fiesta. In doing so, Ford has acknowledged the advantages of Arnitel for this specific application. Ford already uses Arnitel in similar applications in a number of its models: Ford Mondeo, Ford S-Max, Ford C-Max, Ford Galaxy and Ford Focus.

MÁXIMA PROTECCIÓN CON MÍNIMO PESO EN APLICACIONES DE BLINDAJE
McLEAN (Virginia, EE.UU.), 25 de junio de 2009, DSM Dyneema ha presentado hoy Dyneema® HB80, un compuesto unidireccional (UD) que responde al reto planteado conjuntamente por el ejército de tierra y la marina estadounidenses de mejorar en como mínimo un 35 por ciento la resistencia a la fragmentación de los cascos de combate. Además, Dyneema® HB80 cuenta con el potencial necesario para ofrecer a los grupos de intervención especiales de la policía cascos que darán la misma protección pesando la mitad de lo que pesan ahora. Es el último producto de una serie cada vez mayor de materiales que DSM Dyneema está desarrollando con vistas a aligerar sustancialmente la carga de los soldados y de las fuerzas de seguridad.

DSM DYNEEMA INTRODUCES DYNEEMA® BT10 – FIRST IN NEW RANGE OF BALLISTIC TAPE PRODUCTS FOR USE IN LIGHTWEIGHT, HIGH PROTECTION VEHICLE ARMOR
URMOND (NL), June 24, 2009 - DSM Dyneema today launched Dyneema® BT10, its first commercially available product made from a novel, proprietary ballistic tape (BT) technology. The announcement was made jointly at the DVD exhibition, (Millbrook, UK), with Ten Cate Advanced Armour, who has selected Dyneema® BT10 for armor upgrading on the Patria XA-188 APC commissioned by the Dutch DMO (Defensie Materieel Organisatie). The vehicles will be used by the Dutch military forces stationed in Afghanistan and delivery is expected to be completed by October 2009.
