SABIC Innovative Plastics y RheTech Inc. anuncian la compra de la línea de productos RheMax por parte de SABIC Innovative Plastics
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 17 de abril de 2009 – En un esfuerzo continuo por reafirmar y reforzar aún más sus lazos con la industria de la automoción en Norteamérica, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha anunciado un acuerdo por el que se compromete a adquirir la línea de productos RheMax de la empresa RheTech, Inc. de Whitmore Lake (Michigan). En virtud de él, RheTech se encargará de la fabricación del polipropileno con fibra de vidrio larga PPFVL STAMAX* de SABIC Innovative Plastics, que se presentó al mercado norteamericano en septiembre de 2008. AKULON® PA6 DELIVERS PRODUCTIVITY GAINS IN OIL SUMP APPLICATIONS
DSM Engineering Plastics has announced that Akulon PA6 resin has been selected by various OEMs and Tiers for various applications and feasibility studies for oil sumps and oil pans use in under-the-hood. Currently various engine and road tests are ongoing. Final design validation of Akulon PA6 in the oil sumps and oil pans is expected for the end of 2009.

With EAGLE20, Hirschmann Automation and Control, a Belden company based in Neckartenzlingen, Germany, has introduced the fourth generation of its industrial networking firewall. Like other Hirschmann products, EAGLE20 is based on the proven VxWorks real-time operating system. The new industrial firewall meets all requirements for operating as a security router, including Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) Firewall, Packet Filter Rules and a VPN Server.

NO CRISIS AT UTECH EUROPE 2009
Maastricht, the Netherlands - Despite the economic uncertainty, the 10th UTECH Europe event, held in Maastricht, from March 31 to April 2, was rated a success, with attendance far exceeding the expectations of all exhibitors. Most of the more than 140 exhibitors made the same point at the end of the event: visitor levels had been well above their predictions, and the quality of those attending was high. In fact, more than 2836 industry professionals from 86 different countries attended the show, including the almost 400 registered delegates for the conference running parallel with the exhibition. The total figure mentioned does not include the more than 1500 passes distributed to exhibitors.
