BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 12 de junio de 2008 – El robo de identidad, la adopción de mayores medidas de seguridad en las fronteras y otros riesgos están extendiendo el uso de tarjetas de identidad electrónicas que sean inmunes a la manipulación, tengan una vida útil de hasta 10 años e incorporen diversas tecnologías gráficas avanzadas, como el marcado por láser. Para satisfacer estos requisitos, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha creado tres calidades de film de policarbonato (PC) de altas prestaciones para la fabricación de tarjetas de identidad electrónicas y documentos de seguridad. Estos nuevos productos forman parte de la gama de films Lexan* SD e incluyen un film apto para marcado por láser, otro de material opaco, blanco y brillante y, por último, un tercero transparente para la cubierta o las capas intermedias de las tarjetas de identidad. La comercialización de estos tres nuevos productos por parte de SABIC Innovative Plastics pone de relieve su inversión en nuevas tecnologías de films de alta calidad que, por su carácter innovador, permitan a la industria transformadora satisfacer los requisitos en materia de seguridad de la información, que hoy en día aumentan constantemente.

CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON BISPHOSPHATE FLAME RETARDANTS
Effective June 15th, 2008, or as contract terms allow, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE : CEM) will increase pricing for Reofos® BAPP and Reofos® RDP aryl bisphosphate ester flame retardants by $0.65 per kilogram in all regions. Chemtura is also removing all extended price validity.

Biopark Terneuzen Smart Links Cargill with Nedalco
Terneuzen, The Netherlands, 11 June 2008 – As part of Biopark Terneuzen, an exemplary initiative in The Netherlands to promote sustainable industrial development, Cargill is putting in practice the project’s underlying Smart Link concept of having industries located in the same geographic area use each other’s by-products as feedstock. The objective of Smart Linking is to optimise the use of resources, lower costs and reduce the volume of materials entering the waste stream. Cargill joined the Biopark Terneuzen initiative at its inception in February 2007.

MOOG WINS 10-YEAR TEST EQUIPMENT SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH AIRBUS
AMSTERDAM, June 10, 2008 – Moog FCS, a worldwide provider of high-performance aerospace test equipment and a part of Moog Inc. (NYSE:MOG.A and MOG.B), has secured a contract to provide Airbus with multi-channel digital servo control system requirements for all of the Airbus ground-based testing facilities. Under the agreement which is set to run until at least 2016, Moog FCS is the sole supplier to Airbus for multi-channel digital servo control systems, providing Airbus with the benefits of a single platform across all of its structural testing facilities in Germany, United Kingdom, France and Spain.
