DSM Engineering Plastics ha anunciado hoy que su resina XANTAR® C CE 407 permite a NedTrain, una empresa de revisión y mantenimiento de vagones, suministrar los más modernos sistemas de revestimiento para paredes y techos en los vagones de pasajeros. Con esta resina se pueden obtener unos revestimientos estéticos, duraderos y de bajo mantenimiento a la vez que se cumplen las estrictas normativas referentes a llama, humo y toxicidad. El XANTAR® C CE 407 respeta el medio ambiente ya que contiene la más nueva tecnología retardante de llama. NedTrain alcanzó su objetivo de reducir costes tanto en la producción como en el mantenimiento de los revestimientos.

Belden has announced that D. Larrie Rose, Vice President, Operations and President, Belden Europe, will retire at the end of February 2008, after a 35-year career with the Company. The Company has appointed Henk Derksen as interim managing director. Mr. Derksen is Vice President, Finance, for Belden Europe.

QUADRANT CMS DEVELOPS MULTIPLE AIRBAG HOUSINGS FOR NEW CITROEN C5
TIELT, BELGIUM – February 2008 – Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) of Tielt, Belgium, working in close co-operation with Tier-1 automotive supplier TRW - Dalphimetal of Madrid, Spain, has developed all three front airbag housings for the new Citroën C5. The housings for the driver airbag, passenger airbag and knee airbag are moulded in impact-modified Akulon® Polyamide 6 from DSM with 40 percent glass-fibre reinforcement.
