ROHM AND HAAS AWARDED GRANT TO DEMONSTRATE NEW CATALYST TECHNOLOGY FOR BIODIESEL PRODUCTION

Rohm and Haas CompanySHANGHAI, CHINA, November 1, 2007 -- Rohm and Haas was pleased to accept a grant in the amount of $752,000 through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Program. The grant supports Rohm and Haas's development of a newly commercial polymeric catalyst technology, AMBERLYST™ BD20 specialty catalyst. The AMBERLYST™ BD20 technology allows the production of biodiesel from inexpensive low-quality feed stocks without sacrificing the purity needed in the end product.

SABIC Innovative Plastics amplía la capacidad de producción de Placa Lexan* para cubrir la demanda creciente de los clientes y el mercado

Fachada interior, edificio industrial, Barcelona, España>Düsseldorf, (Alemania) – 24 de octubre de 2007 – SABIC Innovative Plastics está invirtiendo considerablemente para ampliar la producción de sus productos de placa sólida y de placa celular de policarbonato Lexan* para los mercados industrial y de la construcción de toda Europa, Oriente Medio y África. La empresa incorporará líneas de producción adicionales en tres plantas (Viena, Milán y Bergen op Zoom) para cubrir la demanda creciente de cubiertas y acristalamiento estructural, señalización y otras aplicaciones de Lexan en Europa del Este y Rusia, entre otros lugares.
