BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAÍSES BAJOS — 8 de mayo de 2007 — Las resinas conductoras Noryl GTX* de GE Plastics se han unido oficialmente a la creciente cartera de productos ecomagination* de GE. Estos nuevos materiales ecológicos han sido optimizados para utilizarse en el tratamiento con pintura en polvo: contienen cargas conductoras que eliminan la necesidad de aplicar una imprimación electrostática, la cual puede emitir disolventes perjudiciales y otros compuestos al medioambiente. En aplicaciones de pintura en polvo, las resinas Noryl GTX pueden reemplazar a los sustratos metálicos, eliminando así los costosos y potencialmente peligrosos tratamientos previos con productos químicos y ofreciendo una mayor libertad de diseño. BELDEN COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF LUMBERG AUTOMATION COMPONENTS
Germany based industrial connector company will expand Belden’s position as a leader in industrial connectivity solutions for factory automation.
St. Louis, Missouri – Belden (NYSE:BDC), a world leader in the development of signal transmission solutions, has completed purchase of the assets of Lumberg Automation Components from The Lumberg Group for an undisclosed cash price. Lumberg Automation is a leading supplier of industrial connectors, high performance cord-sets and field bus communication components for factory automation machinery. The company’s 2006 revenues were approximately $75 million.

Borealis announces R$18 million investment in Brazil
Borealis, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, will invest R$ 18 million in the acquisition of a new extrusion line to enlarge its Itatiba (SP) plant. Borealis has two production units in Brazil located in Itatiba (SP) and Triunfo (RS). The investment, which will serve the automotive and appliances markets, will increase the polypropylene (PP) compounding capacity of the plant by 11,000 tonnes per annum and is due for completion in mid-2008.

German Drivers Praise Friendliness of Nobilas Accident Management Services
Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, May 1, 2007 – Nobilas Claims and Fleet solutions, the Akzo Nobel company specialising in accident management, today announced that a driver satisfaction survey conducted in Germany revealed the overwhelming majority -- 94 percent -- of respondents would recommend the Nobilas service to others. In particular, survey participants were pleased with the friendliness of Nobilas’ service, which made the experience more pleasant. They also indicated that the pick-up and delivery services and complimentary replacement vehicle were especially appreciated.
“Our goal is to make the accident repair process as fast, simple and customer-friendly as possible, and one important factor is the ability of the body shop staff to ‘speak the customer’s language,’” said Thomas Geiger, General Manager for Nobilas Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “We set high standards for our network of body shops, including training staff to explain technical terms clearly. The results of this survey show we are making great strides in ensuring customer satisfaction.”
