La producción de tablero de partículas del Grupo Losán, más limpia y eficiente con el nuevo colorante de Milliken
El Grupo Losán ha introducido un nuevo colorante polimérico, de Milliken Chemical, para asegurar una producción más eficiente, más limpia con el medioambiente y con los trabajadores, en el proceso de producción de los tableros aglomerados hidrófobos. Gracias al nuevo colorante, el Grupo Losán, uno de los mayores fabricantes de tableros de partículas de España, ha eliminado con éxito los típicos problemas de manipulado del color, haciendo el proceso más limpio y eficaz tanto para el medioambiente como para los trabajadores.

Embalaje de espuma en bolsa con sólo pulsar un botón.
Kettering, UK. (octubre, 2006) – El sistema de embalaje de la Nueva Speedypacker Insight™, le permite seleccionar el tamaño más adecuado para su embalaje. El sistema dispone de un monitor gráfico con una tecnología muy interactiva. El monitor gráfico tiene seis botones con 26 combinaciones. Nuestro nuevo monitor gráfico le permite al operario seleccionar el tamaño de la bolsa y las combinaciones de espuma óptimas, a fin de proporcionar una protección rápida y segura para una gran variedad de artículos. Cataloga y programa hasta 156 combinaciones de bolsa acolchadas. Por ejemplo, si el cliente quiere producir una bolsa de espuma para el lado derecho de una tostadora, puede programar el porcentaje de espuma y la longitud del film necesario, y elegir en la selección “lado derecho tostadora”. Después, cuando la tostadora que va a ser enviada, llega al centro de embalaje en la cinta transportadora, el operario selecciona un botón en la pantalla que dirá “lado derecho tostadora” y la bolsa con su cantidad de espuma adecuada será producida. La posibilidad de programar el embalaje a realizar permite al operario trabajar a un ritmo muy rápido y con un embalaje perfecto y adecuado a su producto a embalar, presionando sólo un botón.

British Vita’s TPE Group invest in clean compound technology and expand capacity
Manchester, U.K. – 11 October, 2006 – The VTC TPE Group, British Vita’s Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) Compounding Group, have invested £2.6 million (3.7 million euro) in clean technology at VTC Elastoteknik, the Group’s Swedish production facility. The investment includes a fourth production line, which will come on stream in September 2006 and will increase production by 4,000 tonnes per annum bringing the capacity of the Group to more than 35,000 tonnes.

Borealis’ bottling innovation gives on-and off-the-shelf benefits to KKT
Kaller Kunststoff Technik GmbH (KKT), a specialist in the production of plastic bottles for the food, beverage, cosmetic and paint industry, has selected a biaxially oriented polypropylene (PP) grade from Borealis to manufacture injection stretch blow moulded (ISBM) bottles for water-based paint. The choice of this material gives KKT a competitive edge in this specialised market traditionally dominated by extrusion blow moulded high density polyethylene (HDPE)-based bottles. Lower production costs, improved aesthetics and better impact resistance are among the advantages provided by Borealis’ PP ISBM grade RF926MO.
