Borealis lifts 2nd quarter net profit to EUR 92 million, and introduces eleven new plastics grades
Borealis today announced a net profit of EUR 92 million for the second quarter, compared to EUR 31 million in the previous quarter, and EUR 51 million for the same period last year. Chief Executive John Taylor commented:
“On the back of reasonable demand, our solid financial results benefited from the consistent delivery of our value creation strategy driving improvements in our asset configuration and product portfolio.”

BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAÍSES BAJOS — 1 de agosto de 2006 — Los teclados, exteriores y otras piezas expuestas de teléfonos móviles, ordenadores y cámaras digitales están sometidas a un desgaste considerable debido a su manipulación constante. Aunque el policarbonato (PC) es la opción preferida para estos componentes, hasta ahora había sido necesario endurecer la resina para evitar la abrasión y mantener el buen aspecto de las superficies. Pero este endurecimiento secundario se traduce en un coste añadido, tiempo de procesamiento adicional y un posible impacto negativo en el medio ambiente.
