GE refuerza su infraestructura de pruebas de impacto para ayudar a los fabricantes de coches a cumplir la nueva normativa de protección de peatones en caso de colisión
BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAÍSES BAJOS – 24 agosto 2005 - Con la instalación de un nuevo sistema de pruebas de impacto contra peatones en su Centro Tecnológico de Moka, GE Advanced Materials ayudará a los fabricantes de automóviles y a sus proveedores a validar tecnologías de nuevos materiales para que los sistemas de seguridad de la estructura delantera cumplan la nueva normativa relativa a la seguridad de los peatones. Con su infraestructura de pruebas mejorada, GE espera contribuir a acelerar el desarrollo de sistemas termoplásticos de absorción de la energía en componentes de los vehículos como los soportes del parachoques, la defensa, el capó, la parrilla, los embellecedores y los sistemas limpiaparabrisas. Esta nueva infraestructura de pruebas completa la inversión que ha realizado GE Advanced Materials para desarrollar y validar técnicas propias de análisis computerizado de predicción del comportamiento de los vehículos en caso de colisión con un peatón.

Borealis Earnings Second Quarter 2005
Borealis today announced solid financial results for the second quarter, posting a net profit of EUR 51 million. This result constitutes a 50% increase on the EUR 34 million achieved in the same quarter last year. Lower industry margins reduced net profit by EUR 33 million compared to the first quarter of 2005.
