Options in High-Speed Nucleating Technology Expanded for Polypropylene Processing
Polypropylene processing companies are being offered increased flexibility in the use of high-speed nucleating technology as a result of Milliken Chemical’s introduction of Hyperform® HI5-5, a concentrated form of its Hyperform nucleating agent. The concentrated form allows plastics processors to determine the optimal approach in using high-speed nucleation to boost productivity and enhance product quality.

EL STANYL® GRADO FIBRA DE DSM EN LAS CORREAS DE TRANSMISION DE PHP
La empresa alemana Polyamide High Performance (PHP) GmbH utiliza el Stanyl KS411 (PA46) grado fibra, de DSM Engineering Plastics en la producción de Stanylenka™ 460HRST, su nueva fibra. Stanylenka se emplea principalmente en correas trapezoidales y de transmisión y, gracias a su elevada resistencia térmica, en hilo de coser para airbags de automóvil. Su punto de fusión es 30 ºC mayor que el de los grados de PA66 alternativos. Las correas trapezoidales hechas con la muy resistente Stanylenka reducen los costes de proceso en los sistemas de transmisión eléctrica, ya que la baja plastodeformación y el autotensado del hilo permiten utilizar las correas sin necesidad de tensores.
