DSM Engineering Plastics ha incorporado dos nuevos miembros al equipo de Stanyl en Europa, siguiendo el objetivo de la compañía de ampliar los recursos para gestión de productos, servicio al cliente y apoyo técnico, tanto en Europa y como en el resto del mundo. Los nuevos miembros son Anne Bergsma, Director General de Producto y Paul Habets, Director de Desarrollo de Aplicaciones. DSM produce y comercializa la poliamida Stanyl en exclusiva y se distribuye en todo el mundo.

ARNITEL® DE DSM ESTÁ SOMETIDO A MUCHA PRESION EN LAS VIAS DE FERROCARRIL Y, SIN EMBARGO, DURA MÁS
El Arnitel de DSM Engineering Plastics, elastómero copolímero termoplástico con el que se fabrican las placas amortiguadoras colocadas entre las vías de ferrocarril y las traviesas de hormigón, tiene una vida útil prevista de 20 años, ofrece una mejor capacidad de carga que el caucho, una mejor resistencia a la abrasión y las ventajas de moldeo de los termoplásticos, inyección o extrusión, comparado con el del caucho termoendurecido. Sus prestaciones constantes entre -55°C y 150°C y su vida útil superior a otros TPE’s son características importantes por el ahorro económico y de tiempo a la hora de substituirlas, ya que se mantienen las prestaciones en uso continuo y se reducen los costes globales.

Las tapas de los airbags laterales del Phantom 2003 de Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. se están fabricando con el elastómero copoliéster Arnitel® de DSM Engineering Plastics. Este producto ha sido concebido para dar buenas prestaciones en airbags de automóvil y otras aplicaciones igual de exigentes. El éxito obtenido en el caso del Phantom de Rolls Royce ha permitido a DSM ampliar la gama aplicaciones de su Arnitel® TPE al sector de los airbags.
