Eastman and Johnson Matthey Partner on Chiral Ligand Marketing

Eastman ChemicalKINGSPORT, Tenn., Oct. 28, 2003 – Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) has entered into an agreement with Johnson Matthey Catalysts to collaborate on the marketing of Eastman’s proprietary BoPhoz chiral ligands. The arrangement enables both companies to promote and supply BoPhoz ligands throughout all segments of the chemical industry.

First Installation of Nanogel® Translucent Aerogel Daylighting Panels Completed In Europe.

In Europe, Nanogel® filled polyester panels were used in roofing and façade elements in a recent completed state-owned school in Zurich, Switzerland. Scobalit, Winterthur, produced roofing materials measuring 2000 x 2000mm and façade panels measuring 5000 x 2500mm, both in 50mm gauge, covering 1000m2 and 350m2 respectively.  Swiss building materials manufacturer Scobalit, has completed the first European installation of Scobatherm® Nanogel® daylighting panels filled with Nanogel® Translucent Aerogel from Cabot Corporation (NYSE:CBT). The panels were produced and installed by Scobalit in a school building project in Zurich.
