ELIX Polymers E-LOOP CR-Produkte werden aus nachhaltigen und zertifizierten Rohstoffen hergestellt, zu denen auch zirkuläre und bio-zirkuläre Rohstoffe gehören. Diese Produkte sind nach ISCC-plus zertifiziert, wodurch die Rückverfolgbarkeit und Transparenz in der gesamten Lieferkette mithilfe des Massenbilanzmodells gewährleistet wird. Es sind verschiedene Rohstoffkombinationen möglich, da es drei alternative Quellen für die drei Hauptmonomere (Acrylonitrile, Butadien und Styrol) gibt: fossile Rohstoffe, chemisch recycelte Post-Consumer-Abfälle und biologisch-zirkuläre Rohstoffe.

Die Ergebnisse umfangreicher Versuche belegen, dass mehrschichtige Lebensmittelverpackungen mit Ixan® Polyvinylidenchlorid (PVDC) wirksam in wertvolle Sekundärrohstoffe für andere Anwendungen innerhalb eines standardmäßigen Polyethylen-(PE)-Abfallstroms recycelt werden können.
