SABIC debuts new copolymer resin for PV connectors, delivering highest CTI level to support emerging 1.5Kv systems
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, launched today a breakthrough polycarbonate (PC)-based copolymer resin, well-suited for photovoltaic (PV) connector bodies, that meets stricter performance and regulatory requirements for emerging 1.5Kv solar systems. The new LNP™ EXL9334P copolymer resin achieves the highest comparative tracking index (CTI) level (UL PLC0) and IEC as Material Group 1 (IEC MG 1). It also delivers low-temperature ductility, good dimension stability, excellent heat resistance, good durability and weather resistance and flame retardance. With high performance across all key properties, this specialty resin surpasses competitive materials such as glass-reinforced nylon, polyphenylene ether (PPE) and standard PC. Customers could also benefit from the cost-effective design flexibility and processing efficiency of this injection-molding thermoplastic.

GCR „Innovating our Sustainable Tomorrow“. Eröffnung eines Zentrums für ganzheitliche Entwicklungslösungen
Im Rahmen eines fortgesetzten Investitionsprogramms hat GCR die kürzliche Eröffnung eines spezialisierten Entwicklungszentrums in La Bisbal del Penedés (Tarragona, Spanien) angekündigt. Auf Basis von 20 Jahren Erfahrung im Bereich Materialwissenschaften wird dieser „Innovation Hub“ an kurzfristigen und langfristigen Lösungen arbeiten um die Umweltauswirkungen von Kunststoffen zu minimieren. Die Gesamtinvestitionen des Unternehmens werden sich bis zum Jahr 2025 voraussichtlich auf 100 Mio. Euro belaufen. Zusammen mit einer hochmodernen 200.000 t-Recycling-Anlage, welche im Jahr 2023 eröffnet wird, unterstreichen diese Investitionen die langfristige Vision des Unternehmens, die schon bei der Gründung des Unternehmens im Jahr 2001 geprägt wurde: „Innovating our Sustainable Tomorrow“.

SONGWON Industrial Group announces sound Q3 2022 results
SONGWON Industrial Group today published its financial results for the 3rd quarter of 2022. During the quarter, the Group achieved consolidated sales of 350,731 Million KRW and reported a net profit of 41,376 Million KRW. When compared to the sales (Q3/2021: 260,137 Million KRW) and net profit (Q3/2021: 20,972 Million KRW), recorded in previous year, this marked an increase of 34.8% and 97.3% respectively. In Q3/2022, SONGWON reported a slight decline in its gross profit margin of 1.8%-points compared to Q3/2021.
