Archroma launches a new concentrated OBA with reduced CO2 footprint
Reinach, Switzerland - 27 June 2016 - Archroma, a global leader in color and specialty chemicals, has extended its range of cost-effective, concentrated optical brightening agents (OBAs) for printing and writing papers. The new urea-containing disulphonated OBA – Leucophor® ACS liq – is particularly suited for stock application and for use in coating formulations that contain PVOH, CMC or casein as a secondary binder.

Milliken Wins Prestigious EUROPUR Innovation Award for Industry Leading Milliguard™ AOX-1 Antioxidant
Ghent, Belgium – Milliken & Company announced today that it has won the prestigious EUROPUR Innovation Award for the company’s Milliguard™ AOX-1 polymer-bound antioxidant for polyurethane (PU) which gives the automotive industry a unique solution for compliance with toughening indoor air quality standards for vehicles. EUROPUR, the European Association of Flexible Polyurethane Foam Blocks Manufacturers, created this award to recognize excellence and professionalism in the flexible PU foam industry. TE Connectivity and Students of Fontys University Eindhoven Complete Study for New Opportunities in 3D Printing

Clariant übernimmt vollständige Kontrolle des Konsortiums mit Carboflex in Brasilien, um sein Angebot für den Offshore-Bereich zu erweitern
Muttenz, 24. Juni 2016 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, hat heute die vollständige Übernahme des Konsortiums mit Carboflex bekannt gegeben, das den Produktionsstandort Guanabara Bay errichtet hat und betreibt. Carboflex hielt zuvor einen 50%-Anteil am Konsortium. Die Anlage in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilien, stellt Chemikalien für die Anwendung bei Öl- und Gasbohrungen her. Die Übernahme ist Teil der Investitionsstrategie von Clariant für die Geschäftseinheit Oil and Mining Services und ermöglicht die vollständige Kontrolle der Anlage, um das Angebot für den Offshore-Bereich zu erweitern und die Lieferzeiten zu optimieren.

Henkel präsentiert neue TEROSON LASD-Produkte mit signifikanten Komfort- und Umweltvorteilen
Henkel Adhesive Technologies hat sein Portfolio an spritzbaren Schall-dämpfungsmassen (Liquid Applied Sound Deadener, LASD) für die Automobilindustrie erweitert. Neu im Sortiment sind TEROSON LASD-Qualitäten auf Basis nachwachsender Rohstoffe (Renewable Thermosets) für den Einsatz in der Lackiererei und im Karosseriebau. Ebenso hinzu kommt ein wasserbasiertes Acrylatsystem für exzellente Interaktion der eingesetzten Polymere mit den Spezialfüllstoffen zugunsten maximaler Vibrationsdämpfung bei kontrolliert minimierter Abrasivität.
