Belden ist Entwicklungspartner für die Connected Industry Platform der Deutschen Telekom
Neckartenzlingen - 21. Mai 2015 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, hat als Partner der Deutschen Telekom gemeinsam mit Infineon Technologies und WIBU-Systems die Connected Industry Platform (CIP) entwickelt. Diese Plattform, die von der Telekom auf der diesjährigen CeBIT erstmals vorgestellt wurde, bietet ein innovatives Sicherheitskonzept für eine vernetzte Produktion, das beispielsweise eine geschützte Datenkommunikation zwischen mehreren Standorten ermöglicht. Damit demonstriert CIP bereits heute, wie Automatisierungs- und Informationstechnologie im Zuge von Industrie 4.0 künftig immer stärker verschmelzen und intelligenter werden. Für den Part der Netzwerktechnik war die Belden-Marke Hirschmann zuständig, die über ein umfassendes Produktprogramm für die industrielle Datenkommunikation verfügt, das von Ethernet-Switches und -Routern über Firewall-Lösungen bis hin zu WLAN-Systemen reicht.

DSM and Ascend form global strategic alliance for supply of polyamide 66 compounds
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Material Sciences company, and Ascend Performance Materials Inc., the premium provider of high-quality chemicals, fibers and plastics, announce that they have formed a global strategic alliance for the supply of compounds based on polyamide 66 (PA66). Under the agreement, Ascend becomes the strategic supplier to DSM for PA66 base-polymer used as raw material for Akulon® PA66 compounds for engineering plastics applications. In addition, DSM will distribute Ascend's portfolio of PA66 compounds sold under the brand name Vydyne®.

Houston, TX, May 19, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, introduces SCALETREAT® FeS iron sulfide scale inhibitor, which offers a paradigm shift for inhibiting iron sulfide scale. Counter to the standard practice of allowing scale to form and relying on a chelating option or dissolver for removal, the new high-performance SCALETREAT FeS prevents scale formation in the first place, and the resultant damage, at considerably lower dosages than existing chemistries, such as THPS (tetrakis hydroxymethyl phosphonium sulfate) and Acrolein.
