Belden ermöglicht kostengünstigen Einstieg in Industrial Ethernet
St. Louis, Missouri - 24. Juni 2014 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, hat mit dem SPIDER II 16TX EEC und SPIDER II 16TX/2DS-S EEC zwei neue robuste Entry Level-Switches aus seinem Hirschmann-Produktprogramm auf den Markt gebracht. Diese Switches ermöglichen durch hohe Portdichte einen kostengünstigen Einstieg in die Industrial Ethernet-Technologie. Die Ausführung 16TX/2DS-S EEC hat außerdem zwei optische Dual-Speed-Uplinks, die mit SFP-Transceivern für unterschiedliche Lichtwellenleitertypen bestückt werden können. Diese Uplinks, die Gigabit Ethernet unterstützen, sorgen dafür, dass auch bei Applikationen mit hohem Datenaufkommen kein „Flaschenhals“ entsteht, also stets eine reibungslose Kommunikation gewährleistet ist. Da die Switches beliebig kaskadiert werden können, sind auch dezentral strukturierte Netze mit kurzen Übertragungsstrecken möglich, wodurch die Kosten für die Verkabelung deutlich sinken. Damit lassen sich mit den beiden SPIDER-Switches flexible Lösungen realisieren, etwa für die Anbindung an das Backbone oder die Vernetzung von Linien- und Baumstrukturen.
