Oktober 2013 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, hat Hirschmann HiLCOS 8.8 eingeführt, die neueste Version seiner WLAN-Firmware für das Management der überaus erfolgreichen Industrial WLAN-Geräte der OpenBAT-Produktfamilie . Die aktuelle Version unterstützt branchenweit als erste IPv6-Routing, das IPv4-Routing ablösen wird. Entscheidender Vorteil: Damit lässt sich die Nutzungsdauer bereits installierter Wireless-Geräte verlängern, denn sie können weiterhin über öffentliche WLAN-Netzwerke kommunizieren, für die mittlerweile keine IPv4-Adressen mehr vergeben werden.
