DSM acquires innovative light trapping technology for solar modules
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, today announces that it has acquired the SolarExcel company. Based in Venray (Netherlands) SolarExcel has developed a proprietary light trapping technology that can significantly increase the efficiency of solar panels. With the acquisition DSM expands its growing portfolio of solar energy enabling technologies. Financial details of the acquisition are not disclosed.

Clariant grows in Poland
Konstantynów Łódzki, March 15, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, was joined by distinguished guests for the groundbreaking of its new plant in Konstantynów Łódzki, Poland. The ceremony held on site was attended by the Swiss ambassador, and representatives of local authorities and the Łódź Special Economic Zone as honorary guests. The new, modern plant will commence production of color concentrates for producers of plastic materials one year from now. The investment, worth CHF 11.3 million, will allow Clariant to increase production capacity and strengthen its position on Polish and European markets.

Muttenz, den 15. März 2013 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, hat heute symbolisch den Grundstein für ein neues Werk in Konstantynów Łódźki gelegt. Auf einer Fläche von 6'800 m2 wird der neue Gebäudekomplex eine Produktionsanlage, Labors, Warenlager sowie Büros beherbergen. Die Investition im Wert von CHF 11,3 Millionen wird Clariant die Verdoppelung der Produktionskapazität von Farb-Konzentraten für die Geschäftseinheit Masterbatches ermöglichen und zusätzliche Arbeitsplätze schaffen.
