Belden erweitert Portfolio seiner Marke Hirschmann um OCTOPUS PoE-Switches mit integrierter Spannungsversorgung
Neckartenzlingen – 29. Januar 2013 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, hat vier neue PoE-Switches der OCTOPUS-Familie aus seinem Hirschmann-Produktprogramm in der EMEA Region auf den Markt gebracht. Eine integrierte Spannungsversorgung verringert den Verkabelungsaufwand und ermöglicht so wirtschaftliche Lösungen mit hoher Betriebssicherheit. Zudem benötigen diese Switches deutlich weniger Platz als Switches mit externer Spannungsversorgung und können ferner einfacher installiert und gewartet werden. Zwei Ausführungen sind unmanaged 10-Port-Geräte in Schutzart IP54. Die beiden anderen, die die Anforderungen der Schutzart IP67 erfüllen, haben neun Ports und bieten mit der Layer-2-Basic-Software von Hirschmann verschiedene Management- und Security-Funktionen wie auch schnelle Redundanzverfahren. Sowohl die 9- als auch die 10-Port-Switches sind jeweils mit einer Spannungsversorgung von 24-48 bzw. 72-110 Volt erhältlich. Alle Ausführungen haben ein kompaktes Zinkdruckguss-Gehäuse, das lediglich 184 x 189 x 70 mm misst, und sind für einen Temperaturbereich von -40° C bis +70° C ausgelegt. Darüber hinaus erfüllen sie die EMV- und Brandschutzanforderungen der europäischen Normen für den Einsatz in Schienenfahrzeugen.
