Azelis announces the sale of its Composites business
On October 1st, Azelis announced the sale of its international Composites business to VELOX GmbH who has acquired this business in its entirety. As a result, VELOX will take over and manage the Composites business and its employees, effective October 1st, 2012.

Provichem® 2511 Eco Di-Methyl-Succinate offers unique features for more sustainable applications
A collaboration between Proviron and Reverdia has resulted in the introduction of Provichem® 2511 Eco, a Di-Methyl-Succinate (DMS) that can be used as a solvent and a raw material for fine chemicals such as pigments and UV stabilizers. Biosuccinium™ is made from renewable resources and has a much better carbon footprint than several other fossil based chemicals - such as adipic acid or the petrochemical version of succinic acid.

Azelis gearing up for growth
The Azelis Board of Directors' announce a series of key measures to advance Azelis' development over the coming years. They include the appointment of Dr. Hans-Joachim Müller as the new Chief Executive Officer of Azelis Holding SA as Joris Coppye steps down, and a capital increase to fund future growth supporting the new CEO’s mandate for expansion.

Zudem zeigt Clariant am Stand nicht-alltägliche, überraschende Effekte. Weiterhin hat Clariant speziell für den Bereich Medizintechnik ein Additiv entwickelt, dass in einigen Fällen separate Beschichtungen ersetzen kann.

Songwon kündigt Ausbau der DOTO-Produktionskapazitäten an
Ulsan, Korea – 28. September 2012 – Songwon Industrial Group kündigt einen 60 %igen Ausbau der DOTO (Di-n-Octylzinnoxide)–Produktionskapazität seinem Werk in Ulsan (Korea) an. Mit dem Abschluss dieses Projekts wird Mitte 2013 gerechnet. Die Erweiterung der DOTO-Kapazität wird auf Kosten einer Verringerung der DBTO (Di-n-Butylzinnoxide)-Kapazität durchgeführt. Neben dem aktuellen Projekt plant Songwon zusätzlich den Ausbau der DOTO-Kapazitäten, um zukünftigen Marktbedürfnissen begegnen zu können.
