Vinhedo, Agosto 2012 – Com o objetivo de agregar valor à marca e ao produto, a Viña San Pedro Tarapacá (VSPT), a segunda maior vinícola do Chile, substituiu o rótulo do vinho Gran Reserva Rótulo Negro de papel com cola pelo novíssimo rótulo autoadesivo produzido com o Fasson® Cuvée Black Vellum, fornecido com exclusividade pela Avery Dennison do Brasil (NYSE:AVY). O rótulo é convertido pela também Chilena Ártica Impressores.

DSM and Stanyl help Dutch cyclists in London Paralympics
The Dutch Paralympic cycling team competing at the London Paralympics (from 29 August until 9 September) will be using new, ultra light and strong chains incorporating rollers made of Stanyl polyamide 46. These new chains were developed by DSM, innovation partner of the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF), and the Royal Dutch Cycling Union (Koninklijke Nederlandsche Wielren Unie, KNWU), in collaboration with KMC, the world’s largest manufacturer of bicycle chains.

YPAREX B.V. FIRST TO MARKET WITH BIO-BASED TIE LAYER FOR GREENER MULTILAYER PACKAGING
ENSCHEDE, THE NETHERLANDS — August 27, 2012 — Yparex B.V., headquartered here, today announced that it is the first supplier in the packaging industry to develop and commercialize an adhesive tie layer for multilayer packaging films that is bio-based (i.e. produced from plant- rather than petroleum-based raw materials). Since this tie-layer resin is derived from 95% annually renewable resources and is fully recyclable, yet meets the same performance specifications as non-renewable petroleum-based polymer of the same family, it offers packaging manufacturers the opportunity to make their products more sustainable because plant precursors sequestered greenhouse gases during their life cycle. However, it also helps protect the packaging industry’s supply chain from price spikes of materials closely tied to the cost of oil and natural gas.
