Schneller und sicherer Internetzugang
Der Signalübertragunsspezialist Belden entwickelt und produziert am Standort Neckartenzlingen Netzwerkgeräte und Steckverbinder der Marke Hirschmann™, die überall dort eingesetzt werden, wo es auf eine ausfallsichere Datenkommunikation ankommt. Beispiele dafür sind Fabriken, Raffinerien, Windenergieanlagen, Autobahntunnel oder Züge. Gut ausgebildete Mitarbeiter bilden den Schlüssel für den Erfolg. Deshalb setzt das Unternehmen auf eine qualifizierte Berufsausbildung und arbeitet dabei eng mit den Schulen in der Region zusammen. So wurde im September 2011 mit der Realschule Neckartenzlingen eine Bildungspartnerschaft geschlossen, die den Schülerinnen und Schülern den Einstieg in das Berufsleben erleichtern soll. Im Zuge dieser Partnerschaft überreichte Geschäftsführer Wolfgang Schenk am 24. Mai dieses Jahres Realschulrektor Achim-Götz Sippel und der Schulleiterin des Gymnasiums Neckartenzlingen Barbara Teufel-Krischke einen sogenannte Backbone-Switch im Wert von circa 8500 Euro, der den Schülerinnen und Schülern künftig einen schnellen und sicheren Zugang ins Internet ermöglicht.

Akulon® Fuel Lock FL40-HP awarded CARB Executive Order for use in small engine fuel tanks
DSM has been awarded the Executive Order (EO) for Akulon® Fuel Lock FL40-HP, a blow moldable, polyamide 6-based mono-material. This award, granted by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), certifies that the material meets the low permeation of hydrocarbons requirements for small, off-road engine fuel tanks.

MOOG WINS CONTRACT TO SUPPLY NAREC WITH A TEST SYSTEM TO EVALUATE 100 M WIND TURBINE BLADES
East Aurora, NY, USA, May 23, 2012 - Moog Industrial Group, a division of Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B) announced today that the company has been awarded a contract to supply a test system to Narec (National Renewable Energy Centre) to evaluate and test wind turbine blades at their new 100 m (328 ft) blade testing facility in Blyth, Northumberland, UK.

Software-Tools für Planung und Design industriegerechter WLAN-Netzwerke
Belden präsentiert mit dem BAT-Planner und dem BAT-Planner pro aus seinem Hirschmann™-Produktprogramm zwei neue Software-Tools für WLAN-Projekte. Diese Tools, die zu allen Windows-Betriebssystemen kompatibel sind, ermöglichen sowohl die Planung industriegerechter Netzwerke als auch eine Zusammenstellung der dazu erforderlichen Komponenten. Der BAT-Planner, der unter „www.hirschmann.com“ kostenlos heruntergeladen werden kann, ist für Endkunden konzipiert, die trotz mangelnder WLAN-Kenntnisse eine Übersicht über die Hirschmann™-Komponenten erstellen wollen, die für ihre jeweilige Lösung erforderlich sind. Die Version BAT-Planner pro, die auf dem BAT-Planner aufsetzt, wendet sich an WLAN-Spezialisten und bietet diesen eine Reihe zusätzlicher Features. Die Software-Tools werden voraussichtlich im Laufe des ersten (BAT-Planner) bzw. zweiten Quartals (BAT-Planner pro) 2012 zur Verfügung stehen.
