AVERY DENNISON LANÇA MATERIAL À BASE DE FIBRA DE CANA-DE-AÇÚCAR
Vinhedo, Maio 2012 – A fim de ampliar seu portifólio de produtos sustentáveis, a Avery Dennison do Brasil (NYSE:AVY) está apresentando ao mercado o novo material Fasson® Cane Fibre Paper. Produzido a partir do bagaço da cana-de-açúcar, o novo material é composto por 95% dessa fibra e 5% de cânhamo e linter de algodão. “Trata-se de uma solução verde, limpa, inteligente, com ótima relação custo-benefício e que atende às necessidades da indústria de rótulos autoadesivos”, explica Ronaldo Mello, Vice Presidente e Gerente Geral da Avery Dennison América do Sul Divisão de Materiais para Rótulos e Embalagem.

Framework agreement announced between China Lumena New Materials Corporation and DSM Engineering Plastics
China Lumena New Materials Corporation and DSM Engineering Plastics signed a framework agreement last March 29, 2012 in Chengdu, China. The two companies agreed to further explore a potential cooperation in the marketing and sales of Stanyl® polyamide 46 in China and Haton® PPS outside of China. Furthermore, the companies will investigate the potential for a joint development in respect of PPS/PA46 alloys as well as other areas of cooperation.

- Umsatzplus im ersten Quartal von 18% in Lokalwährungen und 13% in CHF, getrieben von Akquisitionen
- EBITDA-Marge vor Einmaleffekten von 12,1% gegenüber 16,1% im Vorjahreszeitraum, bedingt durch den erwartet schwachen Start ins Jahr 2012 mit geringerer Nachfrage gegenüber der hohen Vergleichsbasis von 2011
- Anhaltendes Wachstum in den nicht-zyklischen Geschäftsbereichen, während die zyklischen und strukturell herausgeforderten Geschäftsbereiche ein ähnliches Geschäftsumfeld vorfanden wie im vierten Quartal 2011; Verbesserung zum Ende des Quartals hin
- Ausblick für 2012 bestätigt: Clariant erwartet für 2012 ein weiteres Umsatzwachstum in Lokalwährungen sowie eine gehaltene Profitabilität im Vergleich zu 2011, da sich die Weltwirtschaft im Laufe des Jahres weiter erholen dürfte.

Bimodale HDPE-Typen von SABIC erfüllen die wachsenden Anforderungen der Folienindustrie
Sittard, Niederlande – 2. Mai 2012 – Die Herstellung von hochwertiger, dünner Blasfolie ist nun auch mit den fortschrittlichen bimodalen Polyethylenen hoher Dichte (HDPE) von SABIC möglich. Die Produktfamilie umfasst derzeit zwei Typen: SABIC® HDPE FI0644 sowie eine Ausführung mit höherer Dichte und höherer Flussrate, SABIC® HDPE FI1157.
