Hochsteife und witterungsbeständige Verglasungen aus massiven Lexan* Thermoclear*-Platten für freitragende Überdachung des Slaski-Stadions für die UEFA Euro 2012™ in Polen
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Niederlande – 4. Januar 2011 – SABIC Innovative Plastics hat angekündigt, dass das Portfolio an mehrwandigen Polycarbonat-(PC)-Platten, Lexan* Thermoclear*, einen weiteren Erfolg verbucht hat; zur bereits eindrucksvollen Liste von über 50 Anwendungen in Stadien weltweit stößt ein weiteres wichtiges Vorzeigeobjekt hinzu. Die neuen Ultra-Stiff Lexan-Thermoclear-Platten, die den für die Region typischen starken Winden und großen Schneelasten standhalten können, werden für den Bau des 43.000 m2 großen, freitragenden Daches des Śląski-Stadions für die Fußballeuropameisterschaften UEFA Euro 2012™ in Chorzów, Schlesien, Polen, eingesetzt. Dieser neue, 25 mm starke, dreiwandige Werkstoff mit einer X-förmigen Struktur wird bis zu 55.200 Zuschauer vor den extremen Witterungen schützen und ist dabei für natürliches Licht durchlässig. Aufbauend auf drei Jahrzehnten bewährter Leistungsfähigkeit beim Bau von Stadiondächern mit Produkten aus Lexan*-Platten, setzt SABIC Innovative Plastics weiterhin neue Maßstäbe mit modernsten Werkstoffen, die Architekten und Konstrukteure dabei unterstützen, Sicherheit, Haltbarkeit und Komfort zu verbessern.
