Clariant’s Genapol® wetting agent provides all-round performance boost in emulsion paints
Muttenz, September 27, 2010 - The paint industry is on the constant look-out for sustainable solutions that improve performance and increase customer choice. Such a solution is available with Genapol® ED3060, a wetting agent for emulsion paints from Clariant that has outstanding wetting and low foaming properties at very low addition levels. It improves the compatibility of binders with numerous organic pigments that are difficult to disperse in the paint, making it easier to formulate a wide range of paint colours.

SABIC Innovative Plastics steigert Produktionskapazität für Ultem*-Kunststoff für europäische und weltweite Nachfrage mit neuem Weltklassewerk in Cartagena um 35 %
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Niederlande – 23. September 2010 — SABIC Innovative Plastics eröffnete heute feierlich das neue Produktionswerk für den Ultem*-Polyetherimidkunststoff (PEI) in Cartagena, Spanien, und schlägt somit ein neues Kapitel in der Geschichte eines der bekanntesten Werkstoffe des Unternehmens auf. Mit diesem lang erwarteten Ereignis konnte die Produktionskapazität für den Ultem-Kunststoff für europäische und weltweite Kunden um 35 % gesteigert werden. Das moderne Werk, das mit 300 Mio. Euro zu Buche schlug und das zweite Ultem-Werk von SABIC Innovative Plastics ist, wird Kunden eine höhere Lieferzuverlässigkeit gewährleisten. Zudem erlaubt das Werk die flexible Skalierung der Produktionskapazität für die besonders leistungsfähigen Extem*-Kunststoffeund spezielle Zwischenprodukte (Anhydride). Urheberrechtlich geschützte Prozesschemie und modernste Fertigungstechnologie steigern die Zuverlässigkeit und Flexibilität des Werks und minimieren gleichzeitig die Umweltauswirkungen von Nebenprodukten. Diese Großinvestition steht für das Engagement des Unternehmens für die zuverlässige und flexible Lieferung von Ultem- und Extem-Kunststoffen, deren hervorragende Eigenschaften die Nachfrage von Kunden weltweit ständig ansteigen lässt.
