DSM INAUGURATES NEW PRODUCTION FACILITY FOR STANYL FORTII
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, has today inaugurated its new Stanyl® ForTii™ Production Unit. As announced in May 2009, the new facility has quadrupled production capacity for Stanyl ForTii in order to meet market demand for this new polymer, which is used in electronics and other applications. Stanyl ForTii was developed by DSM Engineering Plastics and is the first new polymer introduced in the last decade.

DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS ERWEITERT PRODUKTFAMILIE DIABLO, ZUR WEITEREN GEWICHTSEINSPARUNG BEI ANWENDUNGEN IM KFZ-MOTORRAUM
Nach der 2007 erfolgten erfolgreichen Einführung von Stanyl Diablo OCD2100, einer Hochleistungsausführung von Stanyl für Anwendungen im KFZ-Motorraum, wird DSM nun auf der K 2010 die neuen Diablo-Hochtemperaturkunstoffe präsentieren: Stanyl Diablo OCD2300 und Akulon Diablo. Die beiden neuen Produkte sind die unmittelbare Antwort auf die Haupttrends in der Autombobilindustrie, zu dem unter anderem Gewichtseinsparung zählt. Die neuen Werkstoffe leisten zudem einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Optimierung von Systemkosten und zu Produktivitätssteigerungen sowie zur langfristigen Nachhaltigkeit und zu verringerten Umweltauswirkungen.

Nach der erfolgreichen Einführung von EcoPaXX™, einem biobasierten technischen Kunststoff für Hochleistungsanwendungen, bringt DSM Engineering Plastics nun während der K 2010 Arnitel® Eco auf den Markt. Arnitel Eco ist ein thermoplastisches hochleistungs Copolyester (TPC) mit einem Anteil von 20%-50% aus erneuerbaren Quellen, je nach gewähltem Härtegrad. Dieser neue Werkstoff, von dem schon Muster an ausgewählte Kunden abgegeben wurden, eignet sich insbesondere für Anwendungen in den Bereichen Unterhaltungselektronik, Sport- und Freizeit sowie Automobilinnenaustattung.
