Mit den neuen antistatischen Stat-Loy*-Compounds von SABIC Innovative Plastics wird Inhalationsgeräten zur sichereren Abgabe von Arzneimitteln und zur Erzielung von Kostensenkungen neues Leben eingehaucht

Februar 2010 – Patienten und Hersteller von medizinischen Geräten können nun richtig durchatmen, und zwar dank eines technischen Durchbruchs, den SABIC Innovative Plastics bei antistatischen Verbundstoffen für Inhalationsgeräte erzielen konnte. Auf der MD&M West, auf Stand #1783, führte das Unternehmen drei bedeutende Erweiterungen zu seinen technisch hochentwickelten Spezial-Verbundwerkstoffen der Produktfamilie LNP* Stat-Loy* ein. Die neuen transparenten Werkstoffe bieten permanente Antistatikeigenschaften. Damit können nicht nur kostspielige separate Arbeitsschritte vermieden werden, sondern es wird auch die Wiederholpräzision bei der Dosierung erhöht; dadurch können die Arzneimittelkosten potenziell gesenkt werden, da sich Aerosole und Pulver effizienter verabreichen lassen. Die neuen Typen der LNP Stat-Loy-Specialty-Compounds werden außerdem hinsichtlich ihrer Biokompatibilität nach ISO 10993 vorbegutachtet, um Herstellern zu helfen, die Erfüllung aufsichtsbehördlicher Bestimmungen schneller zu erreichen und die Produkteinführungszeit zu verkürzen.
