Phillips named head of global business development at Clariant Oil Services
CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 28, 2009 - Dr. Nick Phillips has joined Clariant Oil Services in the role of Global Business Development Director based in Houston, Texas. Phillips worked from 1992 until 2002 as technical marketing manager with TR Oil Services which Clariant acquired in 2001.

HOOFDDORP/URMOND (NL), 25 May, 2009 - Bluewater Energy Services B.V., a member of the Bluewater group of companies, has introduced a Composite Cryogenic Hose made with Dyneema® fiber which is the first truly flexible large bore hose for high volume offshore LNG transfer. This is the first cryogenic application in which Dyneema® fiber has been used.

Clariant acquires XL Performance Chemicals, expands global reach in defoamer products market
CHARLOTTE, N.C.,May 19, 2009 - Just three months after embarking on an exclusive strategic alliance to serve the $2-billion-plus worldwide foam-control market, Clariant is acquiring Dalton, Ga.-based XL Performance Chemicals from Fibro Chem LLC and its affiliates.
