Sidel at CHINA BREW & CHINA Beverage 2008

DSM verdoppelt Stanyl® Kapazität mit Eröffnung einer neuen Anlage in Geleen (NL)
Royal DSM N.V., die globale Life Sciences & Materials Sciences Company mit Stammsitz in den Niederlanden, meldet die Inbetriebnahme der zweiten Polymerisationsanlage für Stanyl® Polyamid 46 im Werk Chemelot (Geleen, Niederlande). Die neue Anlage verdoppelt die weltweite Produktionskapazität von DSM für diesen Hochleistungskunststoff und unterstützt das in den kommenden Jahren erwartete weitere starke Wachstum von Stanyl®. Letzteres basiert vor allem auf dessen Führungsrolle im Bereich der Elektronik und zunehmenden Anwendungen im Fahrzeugbau, wo ein erhöhter Bedarf an Metall substituierenden Lösungen besteht. DSM hat in die neue Anlage mehrere Zig-Millionen Euro investiert.

SABIC gibt die weltweite Einführung seiner leichten SABIC® STAMAX-Verbundwerkstoffe für die Automobilindustrie bekannt

DSM Biomedical has obtained ISO 13485 certification in recognition of its quality management systems for its medical coating activities. This ISO certification broadens DSM’s access as a qualified supplier in the medical market. ISO certifications for DSM PTG and Dyneema Purity® were already in place.

St. Luke’s Hospital Positions Patients for Greater Comfort with the Orfit AIO All-in-One Immobilization Solution
At ESTRO 27, the European Society for Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology conference, Orfit Industries announced that St. Luke’s Hospital in Dublin has purchased 11 of Orfit Industries AIO Solution® for patient positioning and immobilization for use with their new Elektra Synergy Linear Accelerators. St. Luke’s, the largest radiotherapy department in the Republic of Ireland, selected the AIO Solution to enhance patient comfort, which can reduce movement and increase the precision of radiation delivery. Although the hospital primarily sought a belly board for pelvic patients, the intention is to use the all-in-one solution for head/neck and thorax/abdomen patients, as well. The AIO Solution, featuring four interchangeable, color-coded cushion sets, provides precise immobilization that is both reproducible yet comfortable.

KELTAN® ACE™ TECHNOLOGIE AUF DEM WEG ZUR MARKTEINFÜHRUNG IN 2009
Heerlen, 11. September 2008 – DSM Elastomers meldet, dass die Entwicklung von Keltan® ACE™ wie vorgesehen voranschreitet. Das Unternehmen hatte im vergangenen Jahr beschlossen, am Standort seiner bestehenden EPDM-Fertigung in Geleen (Niederlande) in die Einführung einer neuen fortschrittlichen Katalysatortechnologie zu investieren.
