CHEMTURA ANNOUNCES PRICE INCREASES ON SULFONATES

ChemturaMIDDLEBURY, CT -- Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of its sulfonate detergent and emulsifier product lines, due to rising raw materials costs. This global increase of $0.04/lb on its LoBase, HyBase, Petronate, Surchem, and Calcinate product lines will be effective on shipments on or after October 1, 2006, or as contracts allow.

DSM to build two new engineering plastic plants at Chemelot site, Geleen (NL)

DSM has decided to build two new plants at the Chemelot site in Geleen, the Netherlands, to produce Stanyl® polyamide 46 (PA 46), a unique DSM material, and Stamylan® UH. Both plants will double existing production capacity.Royal DSM N.V. today announces that it has decided to construct two new manufacturing facilities at its Chemelot site in Geleen, the Netherlands. DSM is making these investments in response to excellent market growth for two of the company’s top specialty products, Stanyl® polyamide 46 and Stamylan® UH ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, which is used among other things as a raw material for Dyneema® high strength fibers. The new Stanyl® plant and the new Stamylan® facility, which will each double existing production capacity, are scheduled to come on line in 2008. The total investment will be around EUR 100 million.

DNV certificeert (alweer) ruim 40 VBO-makelaars

DNVRotterdam, 4 september 2006 – DNV Certification BV reikt op 11 september certificaten uit aan meer dan 40 VBO-makelaars. Na afschaffing van de beëdiging van makelaars en taxateurs in 2001 groeide de behoefte naar een objectieve kwaliteitswaarborg. Een certificaat waarmee de makelaar kan aantonen dat hij voldoet aan bepaalde - concrete - kwaliteitseisen. Hiertoe richtte de VBO (Vereniging Bemiddeling Onroerend Goed), de snelst groeiende en meest actieve brancheorganisatie voor makelaars in onroerend goed, de Stichting Certificering VBO Makelaar (SCVM) op. In 2001 ging VBO met DNV (Det Norske Veritas) in zee en werd een sluitend certificatieschema ontwikkeld. De eerste certificaten werden in maart 2002 uitgereikt.

As before, the courses are open to the industry at large and will be ‘free-of-charge’.
