Synventive will consolidate its European manufacturing operations
‘s GRAVENDEEL, THE NETHERLANDS – April 26, 2006 - Synventive Molding Solutions, leading manufacturer of hot runner systems and related components has reached an agreement with the Works council and labour union to consolidate European manufacturing into its plant in Bensheim, Germany.

Präzisionszahnräder aus Stanyl®, dem Hochleistungspolyamid 4.6 (PA46) von DSM Engineering Plastics, übertragen die Joystick-basierten Lenkbewegungen eines neuen Drive-by-Wire-Systems in die Fahrzeugsteuerung. Die Joysteer® genannte Lenkhilfe wurde entwickelt, um Menschen mit Muskelschwäche in den Armen dennoch eine aktive Teilnahme am Straßenverkehr zu ermöglichen. Das System stieß vom 24. bis zum 28. April 2006 auf der Hannover Messe als führender Ausstellungsplattform für Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Fahrzeugtechnik auf hohe Resonanz bei den Besuchern.

Rhodia constructs new Polymerization Unit in South Korea
Paris, April 19 2006 – Rhodia has announced the construction of a polymerization unit on its integrated production platform in Onsan (South Korea). With an annual capacity of 48,000 tonnes, the unit will start polyamide production at the end of 2007. The new unit, representing an investment of almost euro 40 million, is aimed at further strengthening Rhodia’s market position. Rhodia is the world’s second largest polyamide producer and the front-ranked player in the Asian polyamide 6.6 market.
