LEXAN® THERMOCLEAR® PLATTEN FÜR DIE DÄCHER IN SECHS STADIEN DES EURO™ 2004 UEFA-TURNIERS DER UEFA IN PORTUGAL SPEZIFIZIERT

Juni 2004 — Ob Licht durchlässig oder Licht streuend, LEXAN® Polycarbonatplatten von GE Advanced Materials Structured Products erfreuen sich nach wie vor hoher Akzeptanz als Material der Wahl für Dachkonstruktionen und andere Stadionanwendungen. Eines der besten und jüngsten Beispiele dafür ist die Spezifizierung von LEXAN® THERMOCLEAR® Hohlkammerplatten für die Dachverglasung in sechs der portugiesischen Stadien, in denen die Euro 2004™ Fußballmeisterschaft der UEFA ausgetragen wird. LEXAN THERMOCLEAR vereint ausgezeichnete Lichtdurchlässigkeit, hohe Schlagzähigkeit und gute Witterungsbeständigkeit mit minimaler Wartung. Für die sechs Stadien in Portugal wurden insgesamt mehr als 74.000 m2 beidseitig UV-geschützter LEXAN THERMOCLEAR Platten installiert.

ROLLS-ROYCE WÄHLT ARNITEL® TPE VON DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS FÜR SEITENAIRBAG-ABDECKUNG IM PHANTOM
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. hat für die Abdeckungen der Seitentür-Airbags im 2003er Modell des Phantom ein Arnitel® TPE von DSM Engineering Plastics spezifiziert. Der Materialtyp, ein thermoplastisches Copolyester-Elastomer, wurde speziell für Kfz-Airbag- und andere anspruchsvolle Anwendung mit vergleichbarem Anforderungsprofil entwickelt. Damit hat DSM den Einsatzbereich von Arnitel® TPE erfolgreich auf das Marktsegment der Kfz-Airbags erweitert.

Rhodia Polyamide Announces Further Price Increases for Polyamide 6.6 in Europe
St. Fons, France, June 10, 2004 – Rhodia Polyamide announced a price increase of €100 per metric ton for PA 66 base resins in Europe. Prices of PA 66 compounds will also be increased accordingly. These increases will be effective as of June 14th, 2004.
