Fakuma Press Kit Eastman Chemical Company

Penatia™, a specialty division of A.T. Cross Company, discovered the perfect material for its new Gelicious™ gel pens that come in a variety of clear and tinted crystal-like barrels with a simple click on/off mechanism. Made of Eastman Chemical Company’s DuraStar® polymer, the pen barrels can withstand temperatures up to 145°F. Plus the pens are chemical resistant to most hand creams, soaps and household detergents—should the pen accidentally make the wash cycle. The polymer had the best toughness and clarity for this application of all the grades of Eastman and other materials. DuraStar polymer goes a lot further in preventing the cracking and splintering that’s typical of most other clear materials. It is also a water-clear polymer that includes a mold release. Transport rings made of fibreglass reinforced Exxtral PP for an innovative integrated internal transport system for pot plant growers

The Flier transport system with E&O rings from Exxtral PP in use at the LKP Plants greenhouses in Moerkapelle, the Netherlands. (DISPR039E1003) Machine manufacturer Flier Holland BV in Barendrecht (NL) and E&O Kunststoffen in Veenendaal (NL) have jointly developed a special transport ring for the internal logistics of pot plant nurseries, made of 10% fibreglass reinforced Exxtral polypropylene (PP) supplied by polymer distributor Distrupol. Flier Holland BV is a leading manufacturer of mechanisation and automation systems for flower and plant growers. E&O Kunststoffen designs and develops customised plastic product solutions for its clients.

Eurocom team gets Connected
